Main goal:
To get LEGO® building sets into the hands of children at Children's Hospitals and Ronald McDonald houses. As this Non-profit is based in the Denver Metro area the current goal is to provide sets for children battling cancer in the Colorado area. This organization is only starting up and funds are currently coming from personal income. The HOPE is as the organization gains traction we might receive donations. AS OF October 2018 Assembling HOPE and the LEGO® brick built HOPE Castle are now in Wisconsin. I will still make trips or send trips to Colorado should donations come from the Colorado Area.
As designer, builder and showman for HOPE castle I hope to have this castle accompany donation trips to Children's Hospital. The HOPE castle is built out of approx 90,000 transparent LEGO® pieces.
I have been donating sets to children battling cancer since 2010. Non-Profit was created when my career at The LEGO group ended in 2016.
Looking for more information or wanting to talk to the people behind Assembling HOPE, feel free to send an email to reed@assemblinghope.org.

August 24, 2010 · Good news. Taylor is back home where I got to make his day by presenting him with some LEGO products I purchased for him. He suffers from Burkitt Lymphoma and was thought to have fully recovered but started having breathing issues within the last couple weeks. Taylor all of us down at the LEGO store in Denver are hoping for a speedy full recovery.
The above post is from my Facebook back when I first started giving product to kids with Cancer hoping I was doing something good for them without worrying about anything in return other than a smile on their face.
